​Dr. Hoover received his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of North Carolina on a prestigious Morehead. He became board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery after completing residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was in an ENT private practice in Charlotte for over 30 years before transitioning to VIA Health Partners in the summer of 2025. His peers have consistently voted him a Top Doctor in the city, state, and nation. He lectures frequently to physicians and has received multiple recognitions for his commitment to teaching health care professionals. His primary activities outside of medicine include spending time with his wife and two adult daughters as well as leading men’s faith-based small groups.
